The Guerrilla Garden

vision:

A vibrant green space in place of blighted land where families can congregate  and socialize, grow vegetables and pick from fruit trees.  The project is organized by the Backyard Gardener’s Network in partnership with the Lower Ninth Ward Village and supported by the Center for
Future Design
Sustainable Engagement and Development, New Orleans Food and Farm Network, and Parkway Partners.  


The Guerrilla Garden is a project conceived, developed and implemented by Lower Ninth Ward residents committed to community revitalization.



Located at the corner of Chartres and Charbonnet St New Orleans, LA.

We are raising money to pay for the land (corner of Chartres and Charbonnet) and get a water hook-up.  In order to receive the generous donation of a fruit tree grove from Parkway Partners, we have to have land ownership and water access ($5600) by October 22nd.
